Episode 3: Discussion of the Metal Element

Today I will be sharing with you about the metal element.

As I’ve said before, there are yin and yang elements. Wood and fire are up in the Yang, as I talked about in Episode 2, Earth is kind of in the middle, and metal and water, are more in the yin element.

If you have a child who is stubborn or inflexible, maybe a little argumentative, and likes things a certain way, they are probably a metal element.

Typically metal children thrive on routine, predictability, and structure. That is what keeps them in their happy place. If they know what to expect and have a routine, they love that.

They tend to be organized people. They tend to like puzzles and logical problems. They learn well that way. They are detail-oriented, and they like to get it right. They often won’t move on from a task until it is completely right. There are different extremities to this. The extreme would be where they are OCD.

The nickname for the metal child is an alchemist and also the true judge.

That is because metal children have a strong sense of right and wrong and justice. They know right from wrong very easily. They’re really very sweet-tempered kids. Under this metal, inflexible surface, they feel very deeply about other people and about the environment around them. To the degree that metal children are easily embarrassed.

Find out more in today’s episode, about what triggers a metal child, what encourages a metal child, and how important it is not to embarrass your children, especially one who is a metal element child!
